Support Our Work

It is clear now more than ever that we are sustained by the earth we live on and we must take care of it. Help us grow our community orchards and educational programs supporting sustainable agriculture on Washington Island.

Get Your Hands Dirty

Be happy, be outdoors! We have monthly volunteer days (social distancing style) in the community orchards and vineyard. We are always in need of some extra helping hands, especially during pruning season and harvest season.

Come to an Event

We host regional experts, artists and thinkers for workshops and events that spark conversations about conservation. Our events run the gamut – from tutorials on pruning old apple trees, to workshops combining poetry and printmaking, to potluck talks about the complexities of our relationship to water.

Support Your Local Farmers

Our weekly farmers’ markets make it easy for Island farmers and makers to share their wares, and give residents access to fresh local produce.

Turn Your Scraps Into Soil

Our community compost site provides Washington Island residents with a sustainable alternative to shipping waste off-Island, and provides our crops with the nutrients they need.
