Book Club

In recent years Gathering Ground has invited folks to join them in discussing books that focus on the environment. In October of 2025 Gathering Ground partnered with Fair Isle Books, Write On Door County and the Washington Island public library to offer a book club where people can explore their thoughts about such a book at the beautiful Aznoe Farm (1249 Aznoe Road). The initial title was selected by a group of people from the organizations above led by Alessandra Rolffs, but since the 1st meeting participants have nominated and voted on the books to be read. In general, the group alternates fiction and nonfiction titles. The meetings are quarterly, and in the fall through spring they are held at  2 in the afternoon on the  4th Saturday in Oct, Jan and April. The summer meeting will move to a different day – check out the date and time for that meeting next to the title for the month in the list below. There is a zoom link available if you are off island but would like to participate.
