Gathering Ground Celebrates Eight Years of Dinner in the Vineyard — Now ON THE FARM

Gathering Ground will host its eighth annual Dinner in the Vineyard — ON THE FARM, an unforgettable al fresco dining experience that celebrates sustainable farming, local food, and community. This year’s event will be held at Gathering Ground’s new farm located at 1249 Aznoe Road, Washington, WI.

Returning as featured chef is Matt Poole of American Wine Project, who previously worked for Hotel Washington and Chez Panisse. Matt Poole menu centers on honoring the season through outstanding food and wine. Guests will enjoy a beautifully curated dinner outdoors, accompanied by selections from Mixed Meadia Wine and Island Orchard Cider, along with non-alcoholic beverage options. Live music and a spirited silent auction — featuring coveted goods and experiences like a weeklong stay at a historic home on Washington Island — round out the evening.

“Dinner in the Vineyard is Gathering Ground’s annual celebration of healthy eating, sustainable agriculture and farming education,” said Larry Strickling, Gathering Ground’s board president. “The home-grown food is great, the summer intern presentations are inspiring, and we cap it off by honoring a fellow member of our community as Cultivator of the Year for their service to the Island.“

All proceeds from the event support Gathering Ground’s mission to promote and celebrate sustainable farming and access to healthy food through education, recreation and community-building programs. Tickets are $150 per person and include the full dinner experience with wine, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Gathering Ground is actively seeking sponsors to help make this milestone evening a success. Three tiers of sponsorship are available:

Seed Sponsor — $250: Name listed on website, select marketing materials, social media, and event menu; 1 event ticket.

Cultivator Sponsor — $500: Featured recognition in marketing materials, social media, and event signage; logo on website and newsletters; acknowledgment at event; 2 event tickets.

Harvest Partner — $1,000: Premier recognition as lead sponsor in all marketing materials, social media, and event signage; logo featured prominently on website and newsletters; invitation to speak at the event; 4 event tickets.
